A proposal for the competition "Tel Aviv Shade" organized by Tel Aviv Yafo Municipality in cooperation with the Green Building Council and the Environmental Protection Authority,  that invited architects and designers to offer designed shading solutions for public spaces and main streets of Tel-Aviv Jaffa.

Our proposal, called "Growing Shade", is a flexible shading element, adjustable according to each specific location, based on natural materials and vegetation that grows and transforms over time. This shading facility contributes to the streets of the city by providing shade, improving the micro climate and supporting the urban nature systems. The "Growing Shade" can be integrated with the municipality's trees plantings, and can be dismantled and transferred to a different location in the city, once the planted trees provide sufficient shade.
